The Chapter keeps abreast of issues and activities affecting the Black community and identifies community projects in which to participate or support.  In addition, Chapter members serve on community boards and committees such as Anne Arundel Community College Board on Diversity and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dinner and Breakfast Committees.

Education Committee
Patricia Caldwell - Chair

The Chapter participated in a summer tutorial and mentoring program to students at Freetown Elementary School.  In addition, we sponsor an Annual Youth Awards program to recognize scholastic achievement, community service, and leadership.  The Chapter awards three scholarships per year to deserving Anne Arundel County graduating seniors and assists adults returning to college.

Objective: To continue to build chapter's membership through active recruiting.



Health Education Committee
Jovonsia M. Taylor  - Chair

The Chapter hosts health seminars and other activities, highlighting the issues which impact the physical and mental well-being of the Black community.

Economic Development
Sabrina Winters - Chair

Objective:  To deliver programs of financial literacy and wealth building strategies
