​Children’s hepatitis: no Covid connection

A bout of unexplained pediatric hepatitis cases in Alabama has captured the attention of public health officials — and concerned parents — across the U.S.  At least eight states have said they’re currently investigating or have confirmed cases that meet the criteria for the illness outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and more than 160 cases have been identified worldwide.


New FDA-authorized oral COVID-19 medications to be offered in Maryland

​​The Maryland Department of Health announced that they are working with care facilities, local health clinics, physicians, and pharmacies statewide in order to distribute the recent FDA-authorized antiviral medicines, Paxlovid and Molnupiravir.
