My Sister’s Keeper Economic Empowerment Summit and Awards Recognition Luncheon

Glen Burnie, MD;  June 22, 2015– The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW), Anne Arundel County Chapter will host, “My Sister’s Keeper” Economic Empowerment Summit and Awards Recognition Luncheon on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the BWI Marriott Hotel in Linthicum, MD.  This ticketed event will bring together women of all ethnicities, ages, and backgrounds to discuss topics of issues of importance to women including financial literacy, estate planning, and home ownership. Included in this Summit is a Teen Track that will focus on Money Management. The Teen Track is designed to motivate, inspire and build the self-esteem of young women. In concert with the Summit, a “SHEROES” Awards Luncheon will also be held to recognize African- American Women who have made outstanding contributions in the local community by improving and enhancing the quality of life for women and girls. The Coalition will honor women in the following categories:

Unsung “SHERO”  
Young Adult Service
Health and Wellness  
Education Support Service  
Lifetime Achievement

The Honorable Aisha Braveboy is the guest speaker for the “SHEROES” luncheon.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, is a nonprofit organization comprised of professional women who have joined together to improve the quality of life for African- American women, their families and their communities.  The organization’s focus is Advocacy/Public Policy in the areas of health, education and economic development.
